ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — When he heard the noise outside Monday afternoon, Steve Frolander rushed out of the house in Albany and back to the 1998 Dodge Ram he’d just left.
He found his pickup smashed beneath a full load of logs.
Police Lt. Marvin Hammersley tells the Albany Democrat-Herald (http://bit.ly/1bOT3Ej ) the driver of the log truck rounded a corner and lost control of an arm that governs the rear wheels of the log trailer. The trailer slid, the rear wheels flipped up, and the timber came down on the pickup.
Frolander said he’d gone into the house to turn off his computer.
Nobody was hurt. Frolander was able to retrieve personal property from the back of the truck. Another truck came by to retrieve the logs.
