I was glad to see the front-page article on Dr. Don Huber in the Dec. 20 Capital Press. I, too, had been wondering why we hadn’t seen any response to the letter he sent to Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack nearly three years ago.

Dr. Huber justified the criticism for the delay and again iterated the problems connected with getting help with independent research in this country.

I remember him pleading with Vilsack for help in that regard and evidently receiving none.

Anyone having a truly genuine concern for agriculture, I feel, should be more upset over these problems of getting unbiased research than for the delay.
