Pesticide classes offered in Spanish
A free, five-evening pre-license pesticide applicator training session taught in Spanish will be offered in Rochester by Washington State University Extension. Those who pass an exam at the end qualify for a private pesticide applicator license.
Classes will be 6-9 p.m. on April 19-23 at Rochester High School, 19800 Carper Road in Rochester, Wash.
Participants who choose to take the licensing exam will be charged a $33 WSDA license application fee at the time of the testing. Those who elect not to take the exam will receive a WPS pesticide handler training verification card.
A Spanish language manual can be ordered at http://pubs.wsu.edu or 800-723-1763. The manual is not required for the class.
