OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The former manager of the Olympia Farmers’ Market is facing charges of theft after being accused of embezzling $159,000 from the market.

The Olympian reports that 59-year-old Charlene Haney pleaded not guilty to first-degree theft Tuesday.

Court documents say market officials contacted authorities when they noticed accounting irregularities after Haney retired in September 2014.

Haney is accused of paying herself for more than double the amount of vacation days that she was allowed.

Community outreach manager for the market, Mary DiMatteo, says she isn’t aware of any other problems that occurred while Haney was manager.
