Dan Fazio is the new director of the Washington Farm Labor Association.
For the past 10 years he has served as director of employer services at the Washington State Farm Bureau, working with legislators and agencies at the state and federal level in the areas of labor, employment and housing.
"Though I am leaving the Farm Bureau, I will be doing the same job that I have been doing for the last several years -- serving the labor and employment needs of seasonal employers," Fazio said.
His new job starts April 4.
"At the labor association, we believe that the next 10 years will be critical for labor-intensive agriculture. That is why we will be working with affiliated associations and moving forward with the H-2A and H-2B guestworker programs, opening the Ringold Seasonal Housing Facility, and tackling a host of other issues," he said.
