PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Wildfire managers say residential evacuations have been lifted around the Oregon side of the Barry Point fire.
Fire spokeswoman Jeanne Klein says the evacuations were lifted Sunday in Oregon, but remain in place on the California side of the fire.
Klein says crews have built a fire line around the perimeter of the blaze, which is 46 percent contained. The fire has burned nearly 147 square miles.
The fire, sparked by lightning near Lakeview, Ore., is in difficult terrain.
The Oregon National Guard has deployed three helicopters capable of carrying 500 to 1,000 gallons of water each.
