SIXES, Ore. — With the cranberry market in a state of depression, Sarah Osborne and her son, Whit Peters, decided to lift their own spirits.

Prices six years ago didn’t seem headed for a rebound, so they began producing value-added cranberry products at their family farm near Sixes, Ore.
