I read your “Our View” of April 5 and agree but have one complaint. When I was born the world population was a little over 2 billion. Now it’s well over 7 billion. As long as the government (any government) refuses to talk about the elephants in the room I have no intention of supporting cap-trade type things.

Now I still intend to recycle my garbage, pay attention to my mileage and be as tidy as possible. All things we should all do. If we didn’t have a consumption/population problem we would still have environmental change due to various sun, moon, planet wobble we can’t control. Always have, always will.

So at my age I will not be around to see how we solve this problem and all I can do is wish you luck.
