DENVER (AP) The Simply Good Foods Co. (SMPL) on Wednesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $11.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Denver-based company said it had net income of 15 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 13 cents per share.
The nutritional foods company posted revenue of $108.3 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $110 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $70.5 million, or 96 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $431.4 million.
Simply Good Foods shares have increased 36 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 65 percent in the last 12 months.
