Domestic wool trading on a clean basis was inactive this week. There were no confirmed trades reported. Domestic wool trading on a greasy basis was also at a standstill this week.

National Sheep Summary

March 15

Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to as much as 30.00 higher with the most advance on lambs over 80 lbs. The exception to this was lambs under 70 lbs at San Angelo, Texas, which were steady to 10.00 lower. Slaughter ewes were mostly steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder lambs were not well tested. At San Angelo, 7734 head sold. Equity Electronic Auction sold 335 slaughter lambs in Utah. In direct trading slaughter ewes and feeder lambs were not tested. 5300 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were 2.00-3.00 higher. 2,526 lamb carcasses sold with all weights no trend due to confidentiality. All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
