Due to scarcity and the weather quality is less important than volume. Exporters 
remain long bought on Timothy supplies. Trade slow. Demand excellent as remaining 
supplies are in firm hands. Most interests are waiting for new crop. Retail/Feed 
store not tested this week.  All prices are dollars per ton and FOB the farm or

California Hay Report

Compared to March 8: All classes traded steady with moderate demand.
According to NASS Milk Production report released March 12, 2019, California has 
1,730,000 milk cows for 2019 versus 1,738,000 in 2018.  California out of the 23 
selected states had the most milk cows with Wisconsin behind them with 1,270,000 
milk cows for 2019.  Hay is reported FOB the stack or barn unless otherwise 
noted.  Regions are defined at bottom of report.
