California almond growers and industry representatives are invited to a workshop featuring members of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to look at terrorism threats as well as other hazards.

The California Emergency Management Agency is hosting the Agriculture Sector Criticality Assessment Tool workshop on April 18 at the Stanislaus County Agricultural Commissioner's office, 3800 Cornucopia Way, Modesto. The workshop begins at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 3:30 p.m.

Attendees will gain insight and knowledge of operations, management, processing, security, transportation and distribution.
