The Idaho Water Resource Board is accepting applications for grants to be used for flood damage, management and prevention.
The Idaho Legislature approved $800,000 for the program and included an emergency clause for immediate implementation.
Eligible applicants include flood control districts, counties, municipalities, drainage districts, irrigation districts, canal companies and other public entities.
Applicants can request up to $200,000 per project, and there is a 50% match requirement.
Applicants that include higher cost-share percentages and that have not previously received funding will get higher rankings.
The application deadline is June 21.
