FAIRFIELD, Vt. (AP) -- The Vermont State Police say a Mexican farmworker died after being caught in a piece of equipment at a Fairfield farm.
Police say the accident occurred at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say the identity of the worker, who was from southern Mexico and between the ages of 16 and 20, has not been verified.
Police say all indications are the death was an accident. It will be investigated by officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Many Vermont dairy farms employ Hispanic laborers because of a scarcity of Americans willing to do the work.
