The final weekend of the 50th annual Great Oregon Steam-Up will be this Saturday and Sunday, July 31 and Aug. 1.
The event is volunteer-run and showcases Oregon’s transportation and agricultural history. Show-goers will see and learn about vintage steam-powered farm machinery, antique automobiles, logging gear and fire trucks.
A steam-powered sawmill will operate four times a day.
At 1:30, a rumbling roar will invite visitors to watch the “Parade of Power” featuring antique tractors.
Visitors are also invited to watch logrolling, and chainsaw cutting competitions at the logging museum.
The event takes place at Powerland Heritage Park in Brooks, Ore., and runs from 7 a.m to 5 p.m. Ticket information can be found at www.antiquepowerland.com.
