The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is working with producer organizations to celebrate Idaho's more than 55 farmers' markets.

The agency, the Idaho Potato Commission, Idaho Wine Commission, Idaho Beef Council, Idaho Dairy Council, Idaho Bean Commission and the Capital City Public Market will feature farmers' market products in the Idaho Farmers' Market Recipe Contest.

Shoppers can enter their favorite "farmers' market" recipe in the contest for a chance to win a $100 prize. All recipes must include three products found at an Idaho farmers' market.

Contest categories include: Best Use of Idaho Potatoes, Best Use of Idaho Beef, Best Use of Idaho Cheese, Best Use of Idaho Beans (recipes must use both dry beans and garden beans), and the Most Unique Pairing of an Idaho Wine.

Entry deadline is July 1.

The winning recipes will be featured at the Capital City Public Market on Aug. 4 to kick off Idaho Farmers' Market Week. They also will be posted on the Idaho Preferred website and on social media venues.
