TRI-CITIES, Wash. (AP) -- More than 2,000 pounds of rare wine grapes were stolen from a vineyard in the Red Mountain area near the Tri-Cities.

The Tri-City Herald reports the mourvedre grapes valued at $4,000 were taken from the Grand Reve Vineyard sometime late last week. Owner Ryan Johnson says they were to be harvest within 10 days. He says the resulting wine would have sold for at least $40 a bottle.
