Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during December by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full December delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
March wheat futures in midday trading were six to 10-1/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Friday's close.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for December delivery were not well tested in early trading but bids were indicated as steady with Friday's noon bids in a limited test.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for December delivery were not fully established in early trading. Some exporters were not issuing bids for December delivery.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring for December delivery were also not fully established in early trading. Some exporters are not bidding for nearby delivery. Some exporters are bidding a premium for guaranteed 14 percent protein dark northern spring wheat bids for January through March delivery.
Bids for US 2 barley for December delivery were not well tested.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 7-1/2 to 8-3/4 cents per cwt higher than Friday's noon bids in response to the higher Chicago March corn futures.
