Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during October by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full October delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

December wheat futures in midday trading were 9-1/2 to 12-1/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Tuesday's closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for October delivery were not fully established in early trading, but were indicated as five to eight cents per bushel higher.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for October delivery were not fully established in early trading as some exporters were not issuing bids for October delivery.

Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for October delivery were also not fully established in early trading as some exporters are not bidding for nearby delivery.

Bids for US 2 barley for October delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn were 7-1/2 to 17-1/2 cents per bushel higher in response to the higher December corn futures, although some corn traders lowered their basis, which tempered advances.
