Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during April by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full April delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
May wheat futures trended 4-1/2 to 8-1/4 cents per bushel lower in midmorning trading compared with Tuesday's closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for April delivery by unit trains and barges and were not available in early trading as several exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for April delivery trended eight cents per bushel lower than Tuesday's noon bids due to the lower Kansas City May wheat futures.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for April delivery trended six cents per bushel lower than Tuesday's noon bids in following the lower Minneapolis May wheat futures. Protein scales for non-guaranteed 14.0 percent protein were plus 35 to 40 cents each 1/4 of a percent of protein up to 16 percent protein and minus
40 to 45 cents each 1/4 of a percent of protein down to 13 percent protein. Some exporters are bidding a premium for guaranteed dark and guaranteed 14 percent protein dark northern spring wheat.
Bids for US 2 barley for April delivery were not well tested.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars trended 11-1/4 cents per cwt lower than Tuesday's noon bids due to the lower Chicago May corn futures. Bids for corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley were not well tested.
