Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during January by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full January delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

March wheat futures in midday trading trended five to 7-1/4 cents per bushel lower compared to Friday's closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for January delivery were steady to two cents per bushel higher compared to Friday's noon bids.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for January delivery were not fully established in early trading. Some exporters were not issuing bids for January delivery.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring for January delivery were also not fully established in early trading. Some exporters are not bidding for nearby delivery. Some exporters are bidding a premium for guaranteed 14 percent protein dark northern spring wheat bids for February through March delivery.

Bids for US 2 barley for January delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland via single rail cars 7-1/2 to 8-3/4 cents per cwt higher compared to Friday's noon bids. Corn truck delivered to the Yakima Valley were 1-1/4 to 6-1/4 cents per cwt higher compared to Friday's noon bids. A higher basis bid by some traders was supportive to bids.
