Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during November by unit trains or barges only, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full November delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

December wheat futures in midday trading were 13-1/2 to 16-1/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Wednesday's closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for November delivery by unit trains or barges were not well tested in early trading.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for November delivery were not well tested in early trading. Several exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for November delivery were also not fully established in early trading as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

Bids for US 2 barley for November delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars trended 27-1/2 cents per cwt higher, and corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley were not available. Cash corn bids were higher due to the higher Chicago March corn futures.
