Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during January by unit trains only, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full January delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
March wheat futures in midday trading were six to 7-1/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Friday's closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for January delivery by unit trains were not well tested in early trading but were indicated as steady to 15 cents per bushel higher than Friday's noon bids.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for January delivery were not well tested in early trading. Several exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for January delivery were also not fully established in early trading as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for US 2 barley for January delivery were not well tested.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars trended 3-3/4 cents per cwt lower than Friday's noon bids. Lower Chicago March corn futures pressured cash bids. Bids for corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley were not well tested.
