Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during April by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full April delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

May wheat futures in midday trading trended mixed, from one cent lower to 1/4 of a cent per bushel higher than Friday's closes. Kansas City July wheat futures trended 1/2 of a cent per bushel lower than Friday's closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for April delivery were not fully established in early trading but bids were indicated as steady compared to Friday's noon bids in early trading.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for April delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated as steady to one cent per bushel lower in reaction to the lower Kansas City May and July wheat futures.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for April delivery were also not fully established in early trading but were indicated as one to six cents per bushel lower in reaction to lower Minneapolis May and July wheat futures and a lower basis bid by some exporters.

Bids for US 2 barley for April delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn advanced by 2-1/2 to five cents per cwt in early trading compared to Friday's noon bids in reaction to the higher Chicago May corn futures.
