Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during May by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full May delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

July wheat futures in midday trading were 5-3/4 to 8-1/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Wednesday's closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for May delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated as five to eight cents higher in a limited test.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for May delivery were not fully established in early trading but bids were indicated as six cents higher in lining up with the higher Kansas City July wheat futures.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for May delivery were also not fully established in early trading, but were indicated as generally 7 cents per bushel higher. Bids were supported by the higher Minneapolis July wheat futures.

Bids for US 2 barley for May delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 2-1/2 to 3-3/4 cents per cwt higher in early trading. Higher Chicago July corn futures and a higher basis bid by some corn traders supported bids.
