Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during September by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full September delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

December wheat futures in midday trading were mixed, from 4-1/4 cents lower to 1/4 of a cent per bushel higher compared to Thursday's closes, with the greatest decline in Chicago and the advance in Minneapolis.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent protein, for September delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated as five to seven cents higher compared with Thursday's noon bids. Some exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for September delivery were not well tested in early trading. Some exporters are not bidding for nearby delivery.

Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for September delivery were not fully established in early trading. Some exporters are not bidding for nearby delivery.

Bids for US 2 barley for September delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn remained steady with Thursday's noon bids.
