Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during October by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat bids are for full October delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
December wheat futures trended steady to 12.25 cents per bushel higher than Thursday's closes. March Minneapolis wheat futures were 7.25 cents per bushel higher than Thursday's closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for October delivery in unit trains or barges were not available in early trading as several exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for October delivery were not fully established in early trading, but were indicated as steady compared to Thursday's noon bids for October delivery. Some exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for October delivery were not fully established in early trading, but bids were indicated as 6.50 to 7.50 cents per bushel higher compared to Thursday's noon bids. Higher Minneapolis December wheat futures supported cash bids. Some exporters switched their basis to over the
Minneapolis March spring wheat futures. Several exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars for domestic use trended 8.75 to ten cents per cwt higher compared to Thursday's noon bids. Higher Chicago December corn futures supported cash corn bids. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley also trended 8.75 to ten cents per cwt higher than Thursday's noon bids.
