Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during August by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full August delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

September wheat futures in midday trading were 22-1/4 to 25-1/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Thursday's closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for August delivery were not fully established in early trading but bids were indicated as steady for first half August delivery, and steady to 5 cents per bushel higher for last half August delivery compared to Thursday's noon bids for the same delivery period.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for August delivery were not fully established in early trading as several exporters were not issuing bids for August new crop delivery.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for August delivery were not fully established in early trading a several exporters were not issuing bids for August new crop delivery.

Bids for US 2 barley for August delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 13-3/4 to 15 cents per cwt higher than Thursday's noon bids in early trading. Bids were supported by the higher Chicago September Corn futures.
