Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during August by unit trains or barges only, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full August delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

December wheat futures in midday trading were 11-1/2 to 14 cents per bushel higher compared to Thursday's closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for August delivery by unit trains or barges were not available in early trading as some exporters are not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for August delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated as 14 cents per bushel higher than Thursday's noon bids. Higher Kansas City December wheat futures supported bids.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for August delivery were not fully established in early trading as several exporters were not issuing bids for August new crop delivery.

Bids for US 2 barley for August delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn single rail cars delivered to Portland trended 11-1/4 to 12-1/2 cents per cwt higher. Bids for truck delivered corn to the Yakima Valley were also 11-1/4 to 12-1/2 cents per cwt higher. Higher Chicago December corn futures supported corn bids.
