PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) -- Peninsula Plywood President Josh Renshaw says his company's lease with the Port of Port Angeles is now official and the company will begin hiring employees in the coming weeks.

The lease agreement says the company must hire 60 people in the next 90 days.

Port Executive Director Jeff Robb said Monday was "a bright day for Peninsula Plywood, for the Port of Port Angeles and for our community."

KPly, the mill that formerly operated at the site, closed in November 2007 and officially laid off 130 employees in April 2008.
