OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) -- The Washington Department of Ecology has fined Olympia-based Ostrom Mushrooms $88,000 for violating groundwater standards.

The agency says the mushroom farm discharged wastewater that contained pollutants.

The state on Thursday also issued an order telling the company to fix the problems.

Joe Cosare, Ostrom's plant manager, said in a statement that the company has already been working with an engineer to find a solution.
