A New York City firefighter and former presidential adviser will be keynote speakers for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association's winter conference.
Richard Picciotto, the highest-ranking New York firefighter to survive the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and political consultant and Fox News pundit Karl Rove will appear at the Rocky Mountain Round-Up Feb. 2-5 in Denver.
The NCBA conference will also feature a tailgate party at Invesco Field, home of the Denver Broncos, and entertainment by Larry the Cable Guy and cowboy poet Baxter Black.
"We have a great lineup of events this year and we are working to get a great balance of inspiration, the state of the industry and a lot of fun going on with this event," said Kristin Torres, the NCBA's senior director of trade show and associate marketing.
"This event in particular is the largest national event for anyone in the cattle business," she said. "Anyone in that business is welcome to attend."
The NCBA holds its winter conference each year to address policy and regulatory issues affecting the cattle industry in the coming year.
This year's event will also feature the annual NCBA trade show, which will include more than 270 exhibitors, and the annual Cattlemen's College, according to a news release.
