Compared to two weeks ago: All classes of dairy alfalfa hay traded mostly steady in a limited test. Retail hay traded steady to 10 higher with majority of increase in Region 6. Demand was good for all classes on light trading activity. Regions 1 through 5 inventories continue to dwindle on limited supplies, with some producers opening barns. A large percentage of stored hay has been contracted. Region 5 and 6 have experienced colder than usual weather thus hampering new hay production.
