On November 7th at Diamond Bar Arena in Ceres, the Tri-Rivers Section came together to collect and organize cans for the less fortunate.
An important part of the FFA motto is "Living to Serve." The FFA Association states, “Community service is the engagement of individuals or groups in an organized activity that contributes to the local, national or world community. It is also known as volunteering which is defined as the practice of people working on behalf of others or a particular cause, without payment, for their time and services. Potential community service projects include adopt-a-highway, canned food or clothing drive, or tutoring other students.”
FFA teaches members many valuable life lessons along with the importance of community service.
The section collected over 10,000 cans to give to less fortunate members of the community. It is groups like these that make a difference in the world.
