Dayton FFA Alumni are busy soliciting donations from local businesses for their 29th Auction and Dinner. This year’s event will be on Saturday, April 6, in the old Dayton High School Gym.
“The auction is the largest fundraiser the Dayton FFA Alumni does each year,” Tara Babikoff, FFA Alumni President, explained. “Proceeds go towards Vocational Ag Programs in Dayton that would otherwise go unfunded.”
Heather Oliveria, donations chair, explained the time line of the auction.
“Registration and the Silent Auction begin at 5:00 p.m. We will have a staggered closing of the Silent Auction this year with the first table closing at 6:30 p.m. About every 20 minutes a table will close in the silent auction.”
When asked what was for dinner, Ann Coleman said, “This year’s dinner will feature local foods grown in the Dayton area, making it an “Agrilicious” feast. Dinner starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and available at the door or in advance by calling the Dayton Ag Shop at (503) 864-2080.”
If you or your business would like to donate an item, time, money or services to this year’s auction, or if you are interested in joining Dayton FFA Alumni, please contact Mitch Coleman at (503) 864-2080.
