The Capital Press has added new business features to its Website.
Investors in publicly traded companies can now track stock prices on the Capital Press Website. The new feature currently tracks daily stock prices from 51 publicly traded agriculture and natural resource-related companies.
The listing features major equipment manufacturers, like Deere & Co., CNH Global and Caterpillar; as well as chemical and seed companies, like Monsanto, Dow Chemical, du Pont and Syngenta; and food companies, like ConAgra Foods, Diamond Foods, Dean Foods and Hormel Foods.
The full list, compiled in partnership with the Associated Press and Morningstar, can be found at http://hosted2.ap.org/ORSCP/mmLocalStocks/local-ORSCP
The list can be expanded based on reader suggestions, so if there are ag or natural resource companies you would like to see added to the list, send your suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration.
There is also a ticker lookup feature on the page so you can look up any of your favorite stocks, whether they are ag-related or not, right on the page and get a snapshot of a company's recent market performance.
The other new feature on the Website includes highlights of other business and stock market news of the day. The business news page includes a snapshot of market indexes, recent business centerpiece stories from Associated Press, and the day's top general business stories ( http://hosted2.ap.org/ORSCP/APBusinesss ).
You can find links to both of the new featured pages on www.capitalpress.com in the navigation bar under "Other News." The new features are listed under "Ag company stock listings" and "Business news from AP."
