CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed early Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slid 5.5 cents to $5.66 a bushel, while March corn fell 3.75 cents to $3.97 a bushel and oats for March delivery lost 3.5 cents to $2.595 a bushel. January soybeans rose 2 cents to $10.49 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle edged up 0.4 cent to 83.3 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.4 cent to 93.5 cents a pound; February lean hogs added 0.4 cent to 65.7 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 0.47 cent to 80.6 cents a pound.
