Simplot Turf & Horticulture is opening its first Florida location, in the greater Fort Myers  area.

Preparations are underway to provide service for customers by midsummer, according to the company. The location in the long term will offer a full range of products and solutions for customers such as golf course superintendents, landscapers and nursery managers.

“We look forward to our continued growth, and maintain our commitment to providing insight and support to help customers meet their turf and horticulture goals,” said Barry McBan, Simplot Turf & Horticulture general manager.

The southwest Florida location “broadens our turf and horticulture reach, bringing more opportunity for success with products, services and technological capabilities for customers.”

As part of its entrance into the Florida market — which will expand the coverage area of the Simplot turf and horticulture business to 26 locations and 38 states — Andy Engelbrecht will be the new regional sales representative servicing the golf market in the Fort Myers area.
