Portland Daily Grain Report for Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012

Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during September by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat bids are for full September delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
December wheat futures trended steady to nine cents per bushel higher than Wednesday's closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for September delivery in unit trains or barges were not fully established in early trading but bids were indicated as 10 to 13.50 cents per bushel higher than Wednesday's noon bids for September delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for September delivery were not fully established in early trading but bids were indicated as steady compared to Wednesday's noon bids.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for September delivery were not available as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars for domestic use trended 6.25 to 7.50 cents per cwt lower compared to Wednesday's noon bids. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley trended 6.25 cents per cwt lower than Wednesday's noon bids. Lower Chicago December corn futures pressured cash corn bids.
