Portland daily grain report for Monday, Nov. 12, 2012

Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during November by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat bids are for full November delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
December wheat futures trended 23.25 to 28.50 cents per bushel lower than Friday's closes. March Minneapolis wheat futures were 25.50 cents per bushel lower than Friday's closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for November delivery in unit trains or barges were not available in early trading as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for November delivery were not fully established in early trading, but were indicated as 23.25 cents per bushel lower than Friday's noon bids for November delivery. Lower Kansas City December wheat futures pressured bids.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for November delivery were not fully established in early trading, but bids were indicated as 20.50 to 25.50 cents per bushel lower compared to Friday's noon bids for November delivery. Lower Minneapolis December and March wheat futures pressured cash bids, however a higher basis bid by some exporters supported bids somewhat.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars for domestic use trended 42.50 cents per cwt lower compared to Friday's noon bids. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley also trended 42.50 to 43.75 cents per cwt lower compared to Friday's noon
bids. Lower Chicago December corn futures pressured cash corn bids.
