Grain futures mixed, beef prices rise

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices were mixed Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 1.25 cent to $7.95 a bushel; March corn slipped 0.75 cent to $7.0350 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.65 a bushel; while January soybeans fell 3.25 cents to $14.3650 a bushel.

Beef futures rose, while pork futures were flat on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 0.38 cent to $1.3360 a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.20 cent to $1.5170 a pound; February lean hogs were flat at 87.55 cents a pound.
