Fundraiser set for farmer

The Aumsville (Ore.) Fire District is having a spaghetti feed fundraiser Dec. 15 to benefit Ryan Bishop, a 40-year veteran of the department who suffered an aneurism Nov. 23.

He is a self-employed farmer without health insurance. As a result of his illness the family farm will close.

The event, at 490 Church St., Aumsville, Ore., will start at noon and run through 8 p.m. The district is accepting items for a silent auction that will be conducted in conjunction with the event. The district has set up an account at Riverview Community Bank in Aumsville under Bishop's name.
