Grain futures mixed, livestock prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices were mixed Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slipped 0.50 cent to $7.7875 a bushel; March corn added 1.50 cent to $7.30 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.59 a bushel; while March soybeans rose 2.25 cents to $14.54 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle fell 0.02 cent to $1.2570 a pound; March feeder cattle fell 0.85 cent to $1.4615 a pound; February lean hogs fell 0.25 cent to 85.45 cents a pound.
