National Sheep/Wool Reports Compiled by USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo.-San Angelo, Texas

Wool prices in cents per pound and foreign currency per kilogram, sheep prices in dollars per hundredweight (cwt.) except some replacement animals on per head basis as indicated.

Domestic wool trading on a clean basis was at a standstill this week. There were no confirmed sales this week. Demand light to moderate, noting global demand is showing signs of stability but there is still a uncertainty in the raw wool market. Some of the unsold wool from last spring is starting to be offered up again as the Australian market has had stronger markets the last two weeks and a steady market this week.

Domestic wool trading on a greasy basis was very slow this week. There were no confirmed sales this week.

Domestic Wool Tags - delivered to buyer, greasy basis:

#3 $.10-.20

The FSA effective LDP rate for wool is unchanged at $0 per pound. The FSA effective LDP rate for mohair is unchanged at $0 per pound.

Nov. 30

Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to $5 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to $1 higher. Feeder lambs were steady to $9 higher. At San Angelo, Texas, 5,450 head sold in a one-day sale. Equity Electronic Auction sold 282 slaughter lambs in Nebraska. In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and no comparison on feeder lambs. 6,400 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were $3-4 higher and 13,000 head of formula sales of dressed lambs under 65 lbs. were not well tested; over 65 lbs. were stead. 7,004 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs. and down $11.68 higher; 45-55 lbs. $19.25 lower; 55-85 lbs. $.18-1.35 lower and 85 lbs. and up $1.31 higher.

SLAUGHTER LAMBS Choice and Prime 2-3:

San Angelo: shorn and wooled 100-150 lbs. $80-97.

SLAUGHTER LAMBS Choice and Prime 1:

San Angelo: 40-60 lbs. $158-172, few $186-190; 60-70 lbs. $128-148; 70-80 lbs. $120-136; 80-90 lbs. $100-114; 90-105 lbs. $98-108.

DIRECT TRADING (Lambs with 3-4 percent shrink or equivalent)

6,400 Slaughter Lambs shorn and wooled 120-162 lbs. $89.48-115 (wtd avg $104.98); no dressed sales reported.

SLAUGHTER EWES:

San Angelo: Good 2-3 (fleshy) $45-55; Utility and Good 1-3 (medium flesh) $55-68, high-yielding $70-79; Utility 1-2 (thin) $50-57.

FEEDER LAMBS Medium and Large 1-2:

San Angelo: 65-80 lbs. $107-116; 80-90 lbs. $100-107; 90-100 lbs. $94-102; 100-110 lbs. $94-98.

REPLACEMENT EWES Medium and Large 1-2:

San Angelo: hair ewe lambs 70-90 lbs. $150-168 cwt; 90-95 lbs. $140 cwt.
