Domestic wool trading on a clean basis was at a standstill this week. There were no confirmed sales. Demand very light to light. Domestic wool trading on a greasy basis was at a standstill this week. There were no confirmed sales.

Domestic Wool Tags - delivered to buyer, greasy basis:

#2 $.25-.35

#3 $.10-.20

The FSA effective LDP rate for wool is unchanged at $0 per pound. The FSA effective LDP rate for mohair is unchanged at $0 per pound.

Oct. 5

Compared to Sept. 28 slaughter lambs ranged from steady to sharply higher. Slaughter ewes were steady to $4 higher. Feeder lambs were steady to sharply higher. At San Angelo, Texas, 3,103 head sold in a one-day sale. No sales in Equity Electronic Auction. In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and feeder lambs were weak. 4,200 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were $2 lower and 10,200 head of formula sales of dressed lambs under 55 lbs. were sharply lower; 55-85 lbs. were steady to $3 higher and over 85 lbs. were $3-4 lower. 6,281 lamb carcasses sold with 55 lbs. and down $7.28-17.56 lower and 55 lbs. and up $1.79-4.28 lower.

SLAUGHTER LAMBS Choice and Prime 2-3:

San Angelo: shorn and wooled 100-150 lbs. $86-106, mostly $98-106.

SLAUGHTER LAMBS Choice and Prime 1:

San Angelo: 40-60 lbs. $180-230; 60-70 lbs. $162-175, few $190; 70-80 lbs. $148-162, few $180-190; 80-90 lbs. $146-162; 90-110 lbs. $122-142.

DIRECT TRADING (Lambs with 3-4 percent shrink or equivalent)

4,200 Slaughter Lambs shorn and wooled 100-155 lbs. $89.86-112 (wtd avg $102.88); no dressed sales reported.

SLAUGHTER EWES:

San Angelo: Good 2-3 (fleshy) $42-51; Utility and Good 1-3 (medium flesh) $50-62, high-yielding $66; Utility 1-2 (thin) $49-56.

FEEDER LAMBS Medium and Large 1-2:

San Angelo: 70-80 lbs. $124-126; 80-90 lbs. $118-120; 90-110 lbs. $104-110, few $116.

REPLACEMENT EWES Medium and Large 1-2:

San Angelo: baby tooth $102 per head; solid mouth $81-90 per head; solid mouth hair ewes $120 per head.
