Editorial hits the mark

Your editorial, "Too few billionaires to tax," is the best editorial comment and factual interpretation of our national debt that I have ever read. I can only wish that the president and every member of the Senate and House of Representatives would have to read it.

It is 100 percent the truth. Our present fiscal policy in D.C. is taking us right down the path Greece has plowed. We are headed for bankruptcy at every turn.

Yet when I email our Oregon senators, they just come back with some nonsense as though I don't know what I'm talking about. Yet they are still getting $175,000 and benefits, and one of them doesn't even have a real home in Oregon. I'm told it is a 1,000-square-foot apartment in Portland. Interesting.

Thanks for the editorial to whoever wrote it.
