Corn futures are settling slightly higher, while wheat and soybean futures slip. Energy is ending mostly higher and metals prices fell.
Corn for March delivery rose 3.5 cents to end at $7.2425 a bushel Thursday. March wheat edged down 6.25 cents to $7.6850 a bushel and March soybeans fell 1.75 cents to $14.3525 a bushel.
Metals prices fell, with the exception of palladium, which inched higher.
February gold fell $16.80 to $1,669.90 an ounce and silver gave up 71.7 cents to $31.722 an ounce. Platinum for April delivery fell $8 to $1,683.80 an ounce and copper fell 0.8 cent to $3.6765 a pound.
Palladium edged up 50 cents to $726.70 an ounce.
Crude settled higher, as did heating oil and wholesale gasoline. Natural gas prices fell.
