Davenport to join Washington State Potato Commission
Derek Davenport of Kennewick will begin serving a three-year term as the newest member of the Washington State Potato Commission on July 1.
Davenport fills an open at-large position on the commission. He is general manager for Allied Potato Northwest, Inc., in Pasco.
In a press release, Davenport said he hopes to help enhance export opportunities and address trade issues that impact the industry.

The commission consists of 15 members. Nine are grower-elected positions and five are appointed by the commissioners and can be growers or others involved in the potato industry.
