Committee postpones wolf kill hearing

The House Rules Committee has postponed its work session on a bill that would allow ranchers in chronic depredation zones to kill -- or "take" -- a wolf without a permit when catching it in the act of attacking livestock.

Rep. Chris Garrett, D-Lake Oswego, chair of the committee, announced at the start of the April 29 meeting that the committee was carrying over House Bill 3452 to a later date.
