ODFW confirms wolf depredation

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has confirmed depredation by the Imnaha wolf pack on three adult cows on private land east of Joseph.

Two of the cows survived: One was euthanized.

The cows were in the Threebuck Canyon area, which is regularly used by Imnaha pack, according to the department.

All three cows had multiple bite wounds that were consistent with wolf bites, according to the department's investigation.

One of the live cows had recently calved, and the calf is missing, according to the department.
